Serial: 107/AJ (BuNo.159437)
AJ107 or 'Fast Eagle 107' was the wingman Tomcat during the clash with Libyan Su-22s, on 19 August 1981. The crew, consisting of Lt. Larry 'Music' Muczynski and Lt. James Anderson shot down the Libyan leader who caused the whole engagement by firing one K-13 missile at the Tomcats from forward aspect.

F-14A | Unit: VF-41, US Navy
Serial: 110/AJ
20 years later, the VF-41 was still flying F-14As when sent into the war against al-Qaida terrorists in Afghanistan. Embarked aboard CVN-65 USS Enterprise the unit flew dozens of long-range air-to-ground sorties, mainly dropping laser-guided-bombs.

F-14A-?-GR | Unit: VF-1 "Wolfpack", CVW-14, US Navy
Serial: 100/NK (BuNo.158579 ?)
NK100 was the mouth of the CO of carrier's air wing (CAG) CVW-14. VF-1 Wolfpack was the first USN unit that became operational with F-14A. The squadron was embarked aboard CVN-65 USS Enterprise during several cruises starting from 1975.

In 1987 the VF-21 was aboard the CV-64 USS Constellation when the unit was involved in the US escort operations for re-flagged Kuwaiti tankers, in the Persian Gulf.

CV-67 USS John F.Kennedy. Operations over the Lebanon, in late 1983. The aircraft wore the title 'USS John F.Kennedy' was painted the two red fields on the fin.
