CH-53C "Green Giant"
Unit: USAF
Serial: unknown

The USAF only acquired 8 HH-53B, then acquired 70 CH-53C, of which 44 were converted to HH-53C between 1967 and 1973. Both the HH-53B and HH-53C were officially known as 'Super Jolly Green Giant' - but were often called 'Jolly Green Giant' or simply 'Jolly Green'. Externally the HH-53B and HH-53C are virtually identical in appearance, and were originally flown by Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadrons (ARRS).
