Built for the RAF, almost at the end of the Chester line and first flown in March 1962. Usually fitted with 94 aft-facing seats, and was operated without any problems until 1975, when it was sold to Dan-Air and re-registered as G-BDIX. Dan-Air, the last operator of Comets, ceased Comet services on 3rd November 1980.
