Serial: C-401

Based at Rio Grande, June 1982. Forest Green FS 34079, Green OD FS 34102 and Tan FS 30219 upper surfaces with Gray FS 36622 undersides.'Camouflaged' fuselage codes. This aircraft was involved in the attack on HMS Plymouth in Falkland Sound on 8 June 1982. possibly flown by Escuadron III's commander, Mayor С.N. Martinez. Note the lack of the Grupo 6 badge on the fin and lack tactical i/d markings - although at one stage it is thought that it did carry yellow fin and wing stripes. Note also the white ship kill' silhouette on the nose.

IAI Dagger, C-430 of Grupo 6 de Caza, VI Brigada Aerea, Fuerza Aerea Argentina, San Julian, May 1982, flown by Capitan Raul Diaz C-430, of 'Oro' Flight, was shot down over San Carlos Water on 24 May by an AIM-9L Sidewinder fired by L/Cdr Andy Auld in Sea Harrier FRS.1 XZ457 of 800 NAS. Capitan Diaz ejected successfully, and C-430 crashed in to the sea north of Pebble Island. Note the green tactical i/d panel on either side of the fin - created by applying a thin coat of turquoise blue over the original yellow band.

This aircraft was involved in the 1 May attack on HMS Alacrity, HMS Arrow and HMS Glamorgan near Port Stanley. Note the yellow ship damaged silhouette on the nose and apparent lack of any tactical i/d markings.
