F7F-1 (BuNo 80261), the prototype of the F7F-2 in July of 1944. The third production aircraft had windshield and canopy changes and carried the early version of the rear seat. Over-all Glossy Sea Blue was standard for all but a few ail Black Korean War Tigercats.
