The first prototype. First flown from Hatfield on 28th July 1944. Medium Sea Grey upper surfaces with Yellow undersides. Post-1942 type National Markings roundels and fin flash in usual positions. Black 8 inch high serial number on fuselage side. Note Yellow 'Prototype' marking next to fuselage roundel.
