S.199 | Unit: 101 tajeset, IDF/AF Serial: D-108 Middle of 1948. Painted overall in RLM68 greyish-green these aircraft equipped the new 101 Squadron and sported the blue and white identification stripes painted on the aircraft at the same time and with the same paint as the Magen David national insignia. Cockpit footstep arrow was black. Early aircraft served for a while without the red nose and striped rudder associated with this Squadron.

S.199 | Unit: 101 tajeset, IDF/AF Serial: D-120 Herzaleah, late 1948. Camouflage: RLM02. According other source: during the 'Independence War' in 1948, all the Mezeks of IDF/AF were painted in RLM68, not RLM02, after the war the few survivors were camouflaged in blue and earth.

Ekron AB, Summer 1948. The original unicolour camouflage of light grey-green was retained, the spinner is red. White bands on the rear fuselage and red and white stripes on the rudder. Fuselage code in black. The stars in the fuselage national insignia had grey-green colour, those on the wings were painted in blue. The squadron emblem is carried on the port nose only.

S.199 | Unit: 101 tajeset, IDF/AF Serial: D-122 Ekron AB, summer 1948. The aircraft wears the standard overall light grey-green colour camouflage the spinner is red. The 'shields of David' were applied on fuselage and on both wing surfaces. An additional red band in between the two white bands on the rear fuselage. The rudder has diagonal red and white squadron identification stripes.
