West Malling, UK, June 1953. Distinguished by its clear-view sliding canopy, in place of the original side-hinged design, the Meteor NF.Mk.14 was the last of the night fighter variants. This example is in the markings of No 85 Squadron.

The Meteor NF.MK.14 was the ultimate development of the RAF's WW2 jet fighter. This aircraft was operated by 264 Squadron at Middleton St.George, the former RCAF bomber base, and now Teesside Airport.

This aircraft was converted to drone configuration from a Meteor F.Mk.8 fighter. It went to RAE Llanbedr in Wales in June 1960. It was used for development trials until November 1960 when it was destroyed in a live missile test.
