IA-58A
Unit: unknown
Serial: A-501

After 1975. Mainly established in the Tucuman mount, it is there where the Pucara was deployed for the first time. The scarce number of available airplanes - there were only 4 airplanes in service - made that their participation was only limited to exploration tasks and support. In this respect some action it is not known in the one that has participated. The used paint scheme was the standard with which left factory, it is natural metal, just as sample the profile of the A-501.

IA-58A
Unit: Escuadron Pucara-Malvinas, Grupo 3 de Ataque, III Brigada Aerea
Serial: A-532

Falkland war, 1982. Light Camouflage: more lighter than the standard, these airplanes were seemingly the first ones in being colored to be correspondents to Malvinas. Examples: A-522, 532 and 528; they conserved national insignia and numeral, it leaves bottom part of the fuselage in light blue. The A-536 it was something attractive, since having been colored with the light camo, it was repainted in the dark camo, being able to appreciate this in the tail of the airplane, where the dissimilar paintings were superimposed.

Falkland war, 1982. Dark Camouflage scheme: Just as it was exposed up, and perhaps until a little darker. An example of this camo was the A-537, 536 and 555, only with national insignia in wings and fuselage, conserving the medium gray in the inferior part, likewise the national insignia and the numeral one.

Unit: Escuadron Pucara-Malvinas, Grupo 3 de Ataque, III Brigada Aerea
Serial: A-549

On 14th May 1982 this aircraft was captured on BAM (Base Aerea Militar) Malvinas and later transported to UK. All the Pucaras (a Quechua word meaning 'Fortress') used in the Falklands/Malvinas war were from the III Brigada Aerea and from the Grupo 3 de Ataque, collective these machines received the name 'Escuadron Pucara-Malvinas'. Only three Pucaras were actually shot down in combat, one by Stinger missile, one by Sea Harrier and the other by small arms fire. The image shows aircraft armed with container with addition cannon.

During Falkland war, 1982 this aircraft has Very light Camo: it was two colors of the camo. The only one that used it was the A-549, with their lower part in extra light blue, with national insignia and numerals in wings and fuselage. Look at forth profile.

According this source: Port Stanley airport, June 1982. Field-applied camouflage scheme of light tan/sandy earth and pale green upper surfaces with medium blue undersides, applied directly over the original overall natural metal finish airframe. This aircraft was one of several abandoned at Port Stanley and eventually sent to the UK for display.
