This is the second developed FA.2. It was delivered to Eglin AFB, Florida, in January 1993 for the purpose of conducting live AIM-120 advanced medium-range air-to-air (AMRAAM) trials. At the conclusion of the trials, the aircraft was disassembled and flown back to the UK in an RAF Hercules transport. 'British Aerospace Dunsfold' is written in medium Blue.

HMS Invincible, Adriatic Sea, September 1994. During this first deployment of the FA.2's, missions were flown over Bosnia in support of the UN Forces. Note '712½' squadron identification number adopted after the loss of two previous '713' aircraft.

According this source: 800 NAS. A Blue-Vixen radar enormously increased performance possibility of Sea Harrier. The ZH809 served in 800th Squadron of Fleet Air Arm.
