Ki-54b | Unit: Mito Hikoshidan Hikotai Serial: U Mito, Japan, circa 1944. Mito Hikoshidan Hikotai = Mito Instructor Air Division. This four-turreted gunnery trainer had blue-black anti-glare panelling on the inner faces of each engine cowling and nacelle.

Ki-54c | Unit: 10th Hikoshidan Shireibu Hikohan Serial: unknown The Tachikawa Ki-54c Hickory flew the Japanese surrender delegation to Labuan on Borneo in August 1945. The aircraft was sent to Australia where the fuselage became a plaything in the grounds of the kindergarten at the RAAF Base Fairbairn, near Canberra. Today the bare fuselage is part of the collection of the Australian War Memorial.
