A 20-person Soviet delegation led by the Commander of Rear Services of the Baltic Fleet, Capt.1.rank M.I.Moskalenko arrived by air on March 22nd, 1940 to take-over the Hanko territory from the Finnish authorities. A Douglas DC-3 (F-6, note the Douglas logotype at the nose) and SB-bomber landed on the ice at the northern part of city, with more aircraft arriving later.

Together with the British ones the Soviet planes used to land in Nadlesk airfield. Flying from Bari in Italy, 12 airplanes C-47 of Group Sokolov supplied Slovenian partisans for several months. Later these planes used to land at Otok airfield in White Krajina, in autumn 1944, the Group Sokolov came back to USSR.

This airplane was sent to USSR October 9th, 1943.
