This aircraft retired to Germany at Holzkirchen, May, 1945. The plane is uniformly camouflaged in Light Blue-Grey (RLM 76), sprinkled with few Grey (RLM81/83) blotches. Note the large spinner spiral.

The individual number is reported also at the wing slat edge at the level of gear placing bulge. The camouflage is Green and Grey (RLM 83/75). Note the wavy borders on the fuselage sides similar to the 'blue 7' scheme.

Halberstadt. April 1945. This aircraft wore typical painting system of the last war days. The colours consist of dark brown (RLM81) and medium green (RLM82). The green band of Reich Defence (Reichsverteidigungsband - RLM 25) identifies the machine as belonging to III/JG-27. Fuselage sides and bottom side are in pale grey (RLM 76).

The Bf.109K-4 of Group adjutant of III/JG 53 Lt.Ernst Dieter Bernhard. On 19th April 1945 after air combat with Marauder bombers, this airplane landed in Kaufbeuren on its bilge because of landing gear damage. One of the rare machines having additional landing gear wheel flaps. Normally these flaps used to be dismounted.

Prague in May 1945. The wavy camouflage RLM 81/83 is typical for Bf.109K versions from the production start. The fuselage is yellowish-green (similar to the British 'Sky type S') when the bottom flats are in light grayish-blue RLM 76.
