Villacidro, Sardinia, August 1944. The a/c served with this unit from 12 September 1943 to 17 December 1944. In this day it was shot down by ground fire during the attack of Siegfried Line. It was piloted by 1st Lt. Donald V. Leslie.

Serial: 08 (42-107550)

Decimomannu, Sardinia, May 1944. Originally this a/c was clear metal, and painted in 319th BG. This camo version was officially accepted by USAAF. The a/c flew 110 missions was transferred to 320th BG. In all it flew 165 combat sorties.

Unit: 432nd BS, 17th BG, USAAF
Serial: 44 (42-107572)

Villacidro, Sardinia, March 1944. The aircraft served with this unit from January 1944. It became the first not painted a/c (Natural metal overall) delivered to this unit. Martin stopped to paint it's B-26s from B-55 and C-45 models. Crew CO TSgt Matloc named this a/c 'Star-duster'. It flew it's first combat sorties piloted by CO of 37th BS Maj.Gorge Gibbons. Before the WW2 ended it flew 150 combat missions.
