Serial: 44/22B (40-1363)

Muroc AFB, California. It was used for anti-submarine patrol duties, December 1941-January 1942. It wheels up landed at Jackson Field, New Guinea June 9, 1942. Repaired and flown to RAAF Air Depot and to Essendon, Melbourne where it was used for administrative flights.

Pilot - Capt. Donald G. Smith ('Doolittle Raider'). Horsham St. Faith, Suffolk, November 1942. 'SNAFU' = 'Situation Normal All Fucked Up'. This aircraft crashed near Huntington, Yorkshire, UK during flew to North Africa due to bad weather. Crew killed.

Serial: 117903 (41-17903)

Djedeida, Tunisia, July 1943. This a/c operated with 37th BS from 18 November 1942 to 15 July 1943. However it probably served in this period with 319th BG. Formerly it flown by Capt.David B. Taggart, who became the first flew 50 combat sorties on B-26 in groupe.
