This aircraft originally served with 206 Sqn, RAF. From March 4th, 1945 it operated with 311 BS (ex 311 Czech Sqn, Coastal Command, RAF). It flew 14 combat sorties. On March 24th, 1945 it attacked (under command of P/O Riha) German U-boat. On May 10th, 1945 it (under F/Lt. Hrncir command) caught another U-boat. From July 1945 to December 1945 it operated as transport between UK and Czechoslovakia. It was flown to the Czechoslovakia after he war ended by W/O Josef Snobl. Later it was returned to UK and written off in February 1947. Camouflage: uppersides - Extra Dark Sea Grey, sides - Matt White, undersides - Gloss White.

This aircraft was flown to the Czechoslovakia after war ended by famous motorbike racer F/L.Rudolf Protiva and landed at Ruzyne on July 31st, 1945. IT flew 13 antisubmarine patrol missions with RAF, then 13 missions with Czechoslovakian AF.

Liberator GR.Mk.VI "Kost'a"

On January 31st 1945 this aircraft was transferred to No.311 BS (ex No.311 Czech Sqn, Coastal Command, RAF). Formerly it was served at 53 Sqn, RAF. During its service with 311 BS it flew 18 combat sorties. On 24th March 1945 crew of W/Cdr.Kostohryz attacked U-boat, two days later they attacked next 2 U-boats. Sadly all attacks were unsuccessful. In July 1945 this Liberator became the first aircraft transferred to Czechoslovakia. Later it finished his its life at water tank at Ruzyne. Camouflage: uppersides - Extra Dark Sea Grey, sides - Matt White, undersides - Gloss White.
