Beaufighter Mk.VIF
Unit: 89 Sqn, RAF
Serial: G (X7898)

Mandalay Road, India, 1943. Dark Green/Medium Sea Grey. India Command roundels of 32-in on the fuselage and 63-in on the wings. The fin flash was 22 x 24 in. The 32-in codes are in Roundel Red or black and the 8-in serial is black. The lack of underwing roundels and the colour of the lower rear fuselage suggest repainting or perhaps the use of black to darken the Medium Sea Grey.
