Thimble nosed Beaufighter Mk.VIF was the regular machine of B Flight 69 Sqn Commander Squadron Leader Frantisek Sykora, whose hare talisman was painted alt of the canopy. It also has a boot symbol added by Pilot Officer Jan Serhant who, with Flight Sergeant Zbysek Necas destroyed a Do.217 on 7th October 1943. The boot symbolized Serhant's pre-war career with the Bata shoe company.
