Aviatik C.I
Unit: Flik 101/G
Serial: 37.16

Circa 1917. The double-seated Aviatik C Type was a handsome plane with good flight performance. Therefore it was sometimes modified in field by fairing over the rear seat into a single seated reconnaissance aircraft or as a single-seat fighter, in this case to escort Flik 101 bombers.

Lohner-Aviatik C.I
Unit: Flik 22/D
Serial: 214.07

Italian Front, Spring 1918.

The success of the Aviatik C.I led Flars to place license-production orders with Lloyd, Lohner, MAG (Magyar Altalanos Gepgyar RT - Hungarian general machine factory) and WKF (Wiener Karosserie Fabrik - Vienna (car-)body factory) for a total of 255 aircraft. Lohner produces two batches of the Aviatik C.I, differing in their powerplant. The first batch (designations 114.01 - 114.32) was powered with 185 hp Daimler engines. 214.07 belonged to the second Lohner build batch (designations 214.01 - 214.18) and was powered with a 200 hp Daimler.
