This is Bleriot built aircraft. Before transferring to British it had French code S1010. The first pilot of this plane in RFC was ace 2nd.Lt.Richard A. Hewart. He scored 3 victories (of 6). After Heward injuring other pilots flew his plane. On 2nd December 1917 one of them force landed at German territory. This plane carries unusual painting due to fuselage was repainted in PC10, the other parts still wear Pale-Yellow. Probably plane was repainted after incident when Heward injured. Note: two vertical bands is squadron markings.

Fienvillers airfield, The Western Front, Spring 1917. Overall clear doped (Light Yellow hue) fabric-covered areas, with forward fuselage, centre section, cabane struts and undercarriage legs painted in Light Yellow (slightly darker Beige hue). White outlined roundels on the fuselage. Black serial number and dumb-bell marking on both sides.

Baquba, Mesopotamia (now Iraq), 1917-1918. Upper surfaces appeared to be finished in PC12 Brown camouflage, with lower surfaces (fabric-covered areas) doped in Light Grey. Forward fuselage (metal and plywood-covered portions) was painted Battleship Grey. Standard British roundels, White outlined on dark surface, in six positions.

Codes are in Black, Rudder stripes are English Blue, White and English Red. English roundels are top and bottom of wings with English Blue outer, white and English Red Inner with an outer white outline. White Triangle Squadron marking and aircraft letter 'G'.
