This is the third SPAD 7 of famous ace Capt.Georges Guynemer. He flew it during Spring-Summer 1917. This plane first equipped by Hispano-Suiza 180 hp engine. After Guynemer dead his aircraft was saved and now it preserved at Le Burourgeau museum.

Pilot - Sons-Lt Rene Dorme, circa 1917. He was kill in combat on the 25th May 1917 with 23 confirmed victories. Standard production finish of over all Light Yellow (Jaune Clair) Varnished Doped Fabric. Metal Areas are in darken tone of Light Yellow (Caramel Colour). Codes are in Black, Rudder stripes are French Red, White and French Blue. French roundels are top and bottom of wings with French Red outer, white and French Inner. Cross of Lorraine behind cockpit in Green, Small Number 12 in French Red, Stork is in French Red with White Tail and Wing Feathers.

Ham airfield, April 1917. Overall clear doped fabric-covered areas, with forward fuselage, centre section, cabane struts and undercarriage legs painted in Light Yellow. Fuselage nose (forward of the front u/c legs) either painted in a dark colour or stained with oil resulting in a deep hue. The newly-introduced Sioux head insignia is not yet finished, lacking the face. Black and White 'eyes' painted on the front of the cylinder head fairings.
