 I'm Russian, but I know only one thing - the best one is C-130 because it's in active use and manufacturing for a half of a century. One more thing I know, and veterans of Vietnam war will support me, is that old and good C-123, that became an example for the designers of the rest cargo planes, can't be shot down at all. An-124 the best. It is only aircraft which can carry really gigantic objects. Note that all countries (included western) use An-124 to transport huge cargo.
C-17 to expencive. The rest are rather old and outdated...
