The main marking is displayed on the fuselage sides and wings. The fin flash is
displayed on the tail.
End of 1940s to Present
The markings scheme is similar previuos - displayed in 4 positions (ie above and below a wing, and on
each side of the fuselage) on aircraft - but on fuselage sides only on helicopters. The
fin flash is displayed on the tailfin. But according other source: main markings only
at port wing upper, starboard wing lower, no fuselage.
