Unit: 24 Sqn, 'A' Flight, RFC

Pilot - CO of 24 Sqn Maj.Hawker Lanoe George, July 1916. He flew this airplane illegally behind the battle-front.

Also pilots: Captain John Oliver Andrews (in late 1916) and Captain Cowan Sydney Edward flew this airplane.

Andrews downed 5 enemy aircraft while flying DH2 (5998), one of which was flown by Stephan Kirmaier, CO of Jasta 2 on November 22 1916. Andrews eventually ended the war with a total of 12 victories and command of No.209 Sqn.
