Messerschmitt Bf.109E Emil - Germany (Nazi)

Bf.109E-3
Serial: <+|
Unit: III/JG 53

Pilot - Lt.Werner Molders. All upper surfaces are in RLM02. Lower surfaces in RLM65. Top of the fuselage and upper surfaces of the wings and horizontal stabilizer sprayed with RLM70, as are the blotches on the rudder. Shapes of the blotches on the wings are in part estimated. On the fin are 18 kill bars marked in white. This camouflage was used only by JG53 during Air War over France.

Pilot - Gruppenkommandeur III/JG 53, Werner Molders, 25th May 1940. Shown just after Molders claimed his 18th victory, a French Morane MS.4O6, this aircraft was probably the one in which he himself was shot down on 5th June 1940. The aircraft camouflage indicates that a large proportion of the fuselage has been overpainted in RLM Grey (RLM 02).
