Bristol Beaufighter - Great Britain

Beaufighter Mk.10
Serial: OB-A (RB858)
Unit: 45 Sqn, RAF

Negumbo, Ceylon, suffered a fatal crash at Butterworth on 11 February 1949. Probably Dark Green/Dark Sea Grey/Sky. The aircraft has C type roundels; 36-in on the fuselage, 32 in underwing and 63 in upperwing, with a 24x24 in fin flash. The underwing serial was 32 in high and the fuselage serial 8-in. Codes were 24 in high and in black. Red spinners and an 18-in wide white band around rear fuselage. This may have been CO's machine, with a squadron badge on the nose on a white disk.
