Serial: FAS-407 Unit: Escuadrilla 1, Escuadron Caza Bombardeo The background of the FAS P-51D '407' is not entirely clear: it should have been a 'stock'-Mustang. According to some sources, it was the first 'new' P-51D acquired form civilian sources in the USA to arrive in El Salvador during the war. According to other, it was shot down on 18 July 1969, apparently by Honduran AAA. Note: version of SEA camouflage.
