  • She was commissioned in January 1945.
  • During March-July 1945 she went to Pacific Ocean through Mediterranean and Indian Ocean, however WW2 ended.
  • In September 1945 she took part in recapturing of Hong-Kong.
  • During 1946-1947 she operated in Indian Ocean and South-East Asian area.
  • In April 1947 she was hold to reserve.
  • In April 1948 she was sold to Dutch Navy as HNLMS Karel Doorman.

  • She was commissioned in May 1948.
  • During 1955-1958 she was rebuilt with an 8 grad angled flight deck and other improvements.
  • During 1958-1961 she operated with NATO forces.
  • In 1962 she took part in the Western New Guinea Crisis. She ferried Hawker Hunter fighter-bombers to Hollandia, New Guinea. However strike plan was canceled because of the implementation of the cease-fire.
  • In 1969 after a boiler-room fire she was sold to Argentinean Navy.

  • She was commissioned in 1970. She originally operated with F9F Panthers/Cougars jets and later these were replaced with A-4Q Skyhawks, S-2 Tracker anti-submarine aircraft and Sea King helicopters.
  • During the Folklands War 1982 she attempted to launch A-4Q Skyhawks jets against the Royal Navy after her S-2 Trackers detected the British fleet. However poor winds prevented the heavily loaded jets from being launched. she returned to her base. Her A-4Q Skyhawks flew the rest of the war from the naval airbase, and had some success against the Royal Navy.
  • In 1983, she was modified to carry the new Dassault Super Etendard jets, but soon after problems in engines largely confined her to port; she was deemed more or less unseaworthy.
  • In 1985 she was in reserve.
  • The Argentine Navy could not found the funds for a modernization and new engines therefore she was decommissioned in 1997.
  • In 2000 she was sold for scrap.
