In early June 1945 she entered Royal Navy service. The last famous Fairey Swordfish to make an official flight from a Royal Navy aircraft carrier did in October 1945. When British forces withdrew from Palestine in 1948, she supported the withdrawal. In 1952-1953 she twice deployed to Korea. She saw an active role in the Suez crisis in 1956. Her helicopters used for the first ever large-scale helicopter borne assault, landed 425 Commandos in Port Said in 90 minutes. She went into Reserve in 1957, decommissioned in 1960 and was scrapped in 1962 at Faslane.
