In the second half of 1943 she was modified for Royal Navy standards. In May 1944 she sailed to the Indian Ocean (and convoyed KMF-31 to the Mediterranean). In the second half of 1944 she provided trade protection in the Indian Ocean. In early 1945 she took part in operations in Burma and Netherlands East Indies. In June-July 1945 she took part in photographic reconnaissance missions over Malaya, Phuket, and in the strikes against Sumatra airfields, Northern Malaya. In August 1945 she participated in the Singapore reoccupation. She returned to the USA in January 1946. She was stricken for disposal in March 1946. She was sold to the merchant service as M.V.Robin Kirk in September 1946. She was scrapped in Taiwan in 1969.
