In October 1945 she was commissioned. In 1946-1947 she trained off West US coast. In Spring-Summer 1948 she has voyage to Turkey with a cargo of AT-6 training planes. She passed Suez, crossed Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean. In 1949 she operated off Japan. From January 1950 tp April 1951 she was in reserve. In Autumn-Winter 1951 she took active part in Korean War. In 1952 she took part in Operation "Ivy" - an atomic test series in the Marshalls. In 1953-1955 she served as training and hunter-killer carrier. In 1955 she was placed in reserve. In 1971 she was scrapped.
