In October 1943 she was commissioned. In February 1944 she provided antisubmarine patrol in Marshalls. In March-April 1944 she strikes New Guinea and escorted convoys in Solomons area. In June 1944 she supported Saipan landing. 37 USAAF P-47 took off from her deck and landed at Saipan. In July-September 1944 operated off USA preparing to Philippines landings. In October 1944 she supported Philippines landings. On 25/26 October 1944 she took part in the Battle of Leyte Gulf and count several ships, included one heavy and one light cruiser. In December 1944-January 1945 she supported operations on Philippines. In February 1945 she strikes Iwo-Jima. In March 1945 she supported occupation of Kerama Islands. In April-June 1945 she supported operation against Okinawa. On June 7th, 1945 she was damaged by kamikadze aircraft hit and sailed for repairing to USA. In September-October 1945 she was overhauled. In November-December 1945 she transported servicemen from Philippines to USA. In May 1946 she was decommissioned in a reserve. In June 1955 she was reclassified as utility carrier CVU-62. In July 1959 she was sold for scrap.
