In 1966 she recovered AS-202 the second unmanned flight of a production Apollo Command and Service Module, in 1968 famous Apollo 11 and in 1969 Apollo 12. Decommissioned on 26th June 1970. On 17th October 1998, she was opened to the public as a museum at the former Naval Air Station Alameda in Alameda, California. She was designated a California Historical Landmark in 1999.
