  • In 1977 she participated in the Saphir missions over Djibouti.
  • In May 1977 her F-8E took part in aerial combat against two Yemeni MiG-21 Fishbeds. This was the only combat interception by French Crusaders.
  • In 1983-1984 she supported French peacekeepers in civil war in Lebanon.
  • In October 1984 she operated off the coast of Libya, in response to USA-Libyan tension in the Gulf of Sidra.
  • In 1993-1994 she supported of UN operations in ex Yugoslavia.
  • In February-June 1999 she made her last war mission during the Kosovo War.
  • In 2000 she was sold to Brazilian Navy.

    NATO Aggression to Serbia and Montenegro (1999)

  • In 2000-2003 she participated in several exercises included with Super Etendards and S-2T Turbo Trackers of the Argentine Navy.
  • Since 2008 she is inactive. Due to lack of funds only one of 12 A-4's is ready for duty...
  • However Brazilians are planning to replace SH-3 fleet by 6 ex-USN S-70B Seahawk helicopters and upgrade S-2F to S-2T Turbo Tracker standard similar to Argentineans.
