07.08.1942 In his first mission over Guadalcanal, the famous Japanese ace Saburo Sakai, shoot down a F4F and a Dauntless. Later that same day he was badly wounded by the machine guns of another SBD, almost blind, and losing blood made an epic flight for almost 4 hrs to Rabaul.
